I guess I can’t say enough how much I love to watch families grow. Harrison is now 6 months already and Ethan 4 1/2!! Where does the time go?!? It was so cute to see Harrison’s personality come in and how these two boys are finding their way as siblings and as friends. So happy to be invited back time and again with this sweet family.

Jennifer and John

So excited for Jennifer and John’s wedding this summer, my first of the season in Chicago and couldn’t be more excited for this sweet and fun couple!! We had such a fun time touring some of their favorite spots in the city from their time together while dating and falling in love. Though they don’t live here anymore, it’s where they started their love and seemed the perfect place for their wedding. First up, one of their favorite restaurant spots right on the river, then had to spend some time in Chicago’s amazing tulips which signify spring to me, and ending up in Lincoln Park where they used to live. Can’t wait for the wedding!!

Another special family that I was so excited to spend time with was my very special friends, Bonnie and Val. Bonnie and Val have been on many rock climbing adventures with me and I have been there since the beginning of their relationship so to see it go from love, to marriage, and now their first child was a great honor and privilege. So excited to watch him grow. We had fun putting him into Val’s motorcycle helmet, ha! He was a good sport and even had a little sleep smile…no doubt dreaming of the many adventures he will have with his dad and his moto!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of sharing my Mother’s Day weekend with a special new mom, a past couple and now friends, Kristi and Jon. Welcoming their first baby boy into the world the day after my birthday, surely I won’t forget that one! I was so excited to get a few moments to capture some special photos of this fragile and fleeting age!

This will be the year for twins I think, my second set in a month and loving the non-mobile phase! I was so excited to hear from Erica and Brian after I shot their wedding back in 2007 if I remember correctly. They had twin boys around Christmas and I am looking forward to photographing them as they grow over the next year and a half. Love these expressions and blank stares followed at last by yawns and passing out…like I always say, being a baby model is hard work!

Baby Liam

So excited to meet baby Liam last weekend! He was such a trooper at just 3 weeks old as we played with him and wore him out. It’s hard to be a model! By the end, he just crashed by his corner of records just like he might years from now after some good concerts …minus the paci haha. Looking forward to coming months as I watch him grow through his first year!

I just love all the faces and expressions babies make, makes you wonder what they are thinking…

I just love this perspective, pretty much his entire body fits in his dad’s hands

Molly Grace shoot’s Sue and Anthony’s wedding

Sue and Anthony’s day was a story about a girl who wore her mother’s veil which she had found in a wrinkled ball in the closet, who was nervous on the way to church, and had to tip toe over some snow to get there. This is also a story about how once she walked down the aisle and saw Anthony all her nervousness melted away along with Anthony’s tears which came out in a burst when he saw her, and all was well when she laid her head on his shoulder. This was a story about a girl who wanted so much to be married in a catholic church but you wouldn’t have known that she wasn’t when you saw her praying to Mary because of the way she looked up in prayer. A story where everyone felt the joy as they kissed and hugged and were pronounced. It was a story about tears over toasts, and a girl dancing with the men in her life, husband, father, grandfather. This was a story about a bride and a groom who planned a party, were so excited about the band and loved seeing their guest’s dance. And above all this is a story about a girl named Sue who had a middle name of Dolores who met a boy named Anthony who’s middle name was Joseph and she thought that was a good sign that she could be married just as long as her grandparents Joseph and Dolores.

I have been working with this wonderful family since their wedding day, and 7 years and 2 kids later, I am happy to still be the family photographer Anna and David’s first daughter Addison was born just a couple months after Ayla so it has been fun to talk about that experience and see how similar their little personalities are to each other. This past Christmas day, they had the best present, their second daughter Zoe. Last weekend I had the pleasure to meet her and be back in their home shooting the first photos of her new life. Of course, it was a fun opportunity to get some pictures of Addison at this age too since I haven’t photographed her since she turned 1! Looking forward to many more sessions with them!
